SCRIMMAGE TWO A GREAT SUCCESS!!!
Dodgers & Fans:What a wonderful Saturday afternoon at the ball field. Sure it was a bit chilly for those fans sitting on the metal bleachers, but we had a team goal to make contact and hit the ball. With that as our main objective, we did it. Take a moment to look over the scorebook at the bottom of the page to compare the difference between this game and the bone chilling, snow blowing, freezing first scrimmage against the Red Sox.
Today's game was played against Coach Chuck Cornett’s Cardinals. Coach Chuck had the biggest draft as he was starting out with the fewest returning players. His team has so many huge players, such as Fernando Vargas and Asa, that they looked like they could easily hit for the fences. He started out the game with 11 players and a couple of them had to leave mid-way through the game. They have a lot of potential and he will have his work cut out for himself as he tries to mesh the talent with the inexperience.
I was so impressed with our Dodgers as I showed up about 5 minutes before our planned 4:00 PM start time and there were already 8 Dodgers loosening up. At 4 o’clock straight up, Tyler showed up and apologized for being late. What a great spirit to have 10 players show up when they were scheduled. Jonas went with his family to Idaho and Brian went to meet a family member who came in from duty in Iraq. I encourage all of our 13-14 year olds to not miss those important family events. I just think that we are really blessed this season as we have 12 players who really want to play ball.

Coach Leavitt
As I was watching the game in the stands with Jessica, (Matt Jr's sister)and Yssabelle (Jeremy's sister) We started hopping down the sidewalk cheering and chanting things like," Let's go Dodgers, let's go!" and "Ya Dodgers!"
Adam was horror struck when he glanced over to find that one of the people cheering was HIS sister. Then he tried the "who is that weird person" approach, and moaned in disbelief, "That is not my sister..." Sadly for him, that isn't true. =D
The game was well played, and as I have said many times, "Everyone on this team is a 100/5 player, and they are still getting better! i can't believe that you guys CREAMED- I mean... beat with a much higher score- Fernando Vargas' team! Good work...

Why do I get the feeling that this was not posted by Haily??? What is a 100/5 player anyway?... Was this the first sighting of Coach Street on our website??? It sounds like him, yet it may just be Haily doing her impression of Coach Street... I bet this is from Haily after all.

Oh, all the players are usually ranked from 1-5 in the drafting. I meant that this team is so good that they defiantly expand the 5. I didn't mean to sound like Coach Street at all... OOPS! =D
