PRACTICE SCHEDULED

Dodgers:

I know that some of you are going to be away for the week due to spring break. I am glad for those that get to take a vacation, but I look forward to meeting with the rest of you during spring break.

FIRST PRACTICE - Our first practice is set for Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Windsor Park ballfields from 4-5:30 PM. These are located at the park just to the west of Windsor Elementary School which is located at about 1300 N. Main Street in Orem. This is not the ballfield on the north side of the school, but the two ballfields located to the west of the school. The easiest way to get there is to go north on State Street to 1200 North and turn right. Turn left and go north on 100 West and it will dead end into the deep outfield of the ballfields.

WHAT TO BRING: Glove, cleats, personal protection, bats, and water. I believe that the water fountains are still shut off at Windsor. The bathrooms should be open. If it is sunny, then bring a ball cap and sun glasses. If it is like the tryouts, then bring an arctic parka and lots of hot chocolate.

PROTECTION: Parents, please understand that your player should have a protective cup. Most think they don’t need one, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Please discuss this with your son and make sure that they have one that fits their growing bodies.

WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY PRACTICES: We will also be having practice on Wednesday and Friday at the same time and location.

TEAM MEETING: We will have our “Meet The Coaches” team meeting the following week after spring break. I would love to do it Monday, but people will be missing. We have yet to set the place and time, but we want you to look forward to the meeting.

Please email me and let me know if you can make the practices. Michael@TheHomeInspector.com

TEAM MOTHER: We need a team mother that can help set the refreshment schedule and handle the important notification process. The majority of our communications will be via email and this blog. I don’t expect there to have to be a lot of weekly phone calls. If you are interested in being the Team mother and help plan the social aspects of the season, then please let me know privately.

EMAIL ME & SUBSCRIBE TO THE BLOG: Please email me when you have read this team blog entry so that I know who has read the information. I also recommend that you subscribe to the blog over on the left column and you will be notified of all updates.
